Teacher – Madrona Room –
CHELLE DOWNEY-MAGEE Chelle started at Arbor in 1998 and has been teaching Montessori since 1988. She has a Masters in Education for Curriculum and Instruction and a BA in elementary education. She has a NCME* Montessori certificate for both 3-6 and 6-9 year olds and is Washington state certified for K-8. Chelle believes that learning should be fun and her classroom is a testament to that belief. Her love of the theater comes to the children through the use of drama in everyday activities. |

Teacher – Willow Room –
MICHELE HINDMAN This is Michele’s fourth year at Arbor Montessori School. She holds a B.A. from the University of Washington and an AMS Montessori Certificate for 6-9 year olds from the Montessori Education Institute of the Pacific Northwest. Her love for everything Montessori shines through in her dedication to her students and environment. The children are still not certain of her relationship to "Professor Pink" but their curiosity is strong! |

Assistant – Willow Room – CARRIE HOWARD This is Carrie’s first year as an assistant teacher and as an Arbor parent. After working for the school district as an educational assistant for 9 years, Carrie decided that a Montessori education was what she desired for her children. She has both a kindergarten son and a primary aged daughter here. When not at school, Carrie enjoys baking and a variety of paper crafts including rubber stamping. |

Assistant – Madrona Room – AUDREY LEMEK Audrey has spent her past lives as a Pastry Chef and a Climbing Guide on Mount Rainier. Currently she is studying for her Masters Degree in Elementary Education at City University in Bellevue. She has a wonderful 5 year old step daughter. Her family enjoys camping, backpacking, biking, and canoeing when they have the time. |

Teacher – Cypress Room – DEBBIE STEELE This is Debbie’s fifth year teaching. She is new to the Sammamish area having just moved from Port Orchard in June. When her son turned three and ready for school, she started to look into the Montessori philosophy and realized that this was where she and her son belonged. Debbie has a bachelor’s in education with a certificate to teach K-8, is a yoga instructor for children, and received her Montessori training for 6-9 at Montessori Education of the Pacific Northwest. |
